Liz Makes It Possible

"I came from a small community hospital and didn't know how I would fit into this vast system. On my second day, I was in orientation when I got paged by my supervisor. That day was 9.11.2001. He gave me the choice to stay in the Drug Information Center or go to the Emergency Room. Without hesitation, I said, 'I want to go to the ER. I want to be where everything is happening.' I stayed in the hospital for three days straight. From that time forward, I realized we are truly a multi-disciplinary team. Six years later, I'm still here, and now I'm sharing my own presentation with the new pharmacy students. It's called 'Making a Home at NewYork-Presbyterian.'"
